What is 3-D? It is a frame work to discuss an dimprove various kinds of instructional design languages and documents.
3D Instructional materials Object and specimen -build generalizations that would otherwise cost prohibitive amounts of time.
Models and mock- ups -M-Models anre odified real things. -M-Mock-up is an arrangement of a real device or associated devices.
Diorama - Is a 3D representation of events, ideas or concept against a scenic background. Also known as meaningful exhibit.
Puppets - Artificial figures whose movements are controlled by a person.
Types of Puppets Shadow puppets - Normally 2 dimensional in nature, controlled by rods that are much thinner than the rod puppet, make use of translucent screen and a light source.
Types of Puppets Rod puppets - They are flat cut figures tacked to a stick, with one or more movable parts, and operated from below the stage level by wire rods.
Types of Puppets Hand puppets -is made to slip over the hand like glove, head is operated by forefinger of the puppeteer.
Types of Puppets Glove-and-finger puppets - They make use of old gloves to which small costumed figure are attached.
Types of Puppets Marrionettes - This are suspended and controlled by a number of strings, sometimes a central rod attached to a control bar held from a puppeteer.
