6 Describe the transformation of energy in a battery within an electric circuit. Chemical energy from the battery transforms to electricity in the wires. Electricity transforms to light and heat in the light bulb. An electric circuit is completed when the + and – ends of the battery are connected in a loop.

7 Earth Science – Layers of the Earth Understand that the solid Earth is composed of a relatively thin crust, a dense metallic core, and a layer called the mantle between the crust and core that is very hot and partially melted.
