4 NIAACN Board Members are Ready to Serve

5 Willing Hands Of NIAACN Members and Their families Come to Help

6 One Example of Commitment Sheri has helped Since 2004

7 Co workers bring their children

8 And Some Co Workers Bring other Co Workers from their Department to the event

9 Volunteers came in sizes big and small

10 It is a day for lessons in caring about others

11 Cheerful Attitudes greet the homeless on this cold January day

12 Some Volunteers came for their very first time

13 Many Volunteers return every year

14 Caring Hearts Of all ages Came to Help

15 Even Grandchildren were recruited to help

16 And they were Rewarded With Hugs

17 NIAACN members and their children

18 Many came to help serve those in need

19 Smiling Faces Ready to Serve

20 There were many choices for Desserts

21 There were plenty of Chips and fruit cups

22 A Quiet moment is enjoyed with friends

23 The Serving Begins

24 We were considered Newsworthy

25 Chanel 23 broadcast our event

26 Channel 13 also carried our story

27 It was very cold that day : we began serving at 11 am

28 170 Plates Of Nutritious Food Were Served

29 The hot meal was appreciated by those in need

30 Beverages were delivered by our volunteers

31 Together We Can Do Great Things

32 The Homeless were treated like company And appreciated the food and fellowship

Green Giant Del Monte Frito Lay Vitners FS Panera Bread Jim and Gary’s Locker McDonalds Sam’s Club Wallmart Logli Gray’s IGA Woodman’s Culver’s 50 lbs pulled pork 2 large pans of ham 20 pound ham Enough Mashed potatoes for 100 10 pound ham Brownies Instant Mashed potatoes for 100 4 cases of Biscuits 5 gallons of gravy 300 half pints of white and chocolate milk 100 lbs corn 100 lbs green beans 50 lbs peas 14 cases fruit cups 2 cases largest size peas 400 snack chips 6 cases of corn chips 300 Napkins, Paper Plates, Cups 10 coffee cakes 10 pound ham Orange Drink Punch for 200 $25 gift certificate $50 gift certificate $20 gift certificate $20 gift certificate $25 gift certificate Plastic Plates and “To Go” Containers

35 The line remained open

36 And to go boxes were made available

37 The homeless were given a sack lunch to enjoy later when they left Health kits with soap and toothbrushes were also given

38 Those that came to help Have pledged to return again

39 A Special thanks to Bert For creating all the health kits

40 Thank you to those that helped cook Not shown Keri Kirchhoff Who cooked 4 large pans of Harsh Browns Bert ran the Kitchen at Sheltered Care Kim helped cook Large pans of Green Beans Judy and Cathy cooked 3 large pans of Corn Mary cooked Large pans of Vegetables And made 10 cakes Ken and Bev cooked 6 Roasters and 13 Crock Pots of Meat and vegetables 3 large cakes 1 case of biscuits NIAACN Board Members Each brought a cake

41 Thank you to those in the Kitchen You kept things running smoothly

42 Leftover Chips and Fruit Cups and Cake were delivered to Maya’s House Thank you to those who helped with Clean Up

43 The Leftover Meat and Hash Brown Casserole were left at Sheltered Care in their Refrigerator as well as the white milk

44 The leftover Vegetables and the Potatoes and Gravy and Biscuits were delivered to the Rockford Rescue Mission The leftover chocolate milk was delivered to the Children of Maya’s House Nothing goes to waste

45 Many offers of Thanks were received from the Homeless

46 Without your help this event would not be possible No One Can Do It Alone !!!! THANK YOU

47 NIAACN would like to thank all that participated in this event even down to our smallest volunteer
