The Emory University Hardship Fund (the “Fund”) is a community fund, designed to assist staff and faculty members who are experiencing a temporary financial hardship due to a catastrophic event. A hardship is considered to be an extreme misfortune of a faculty, staff or immediate family member, for reasons beyond their control, that results in the individual’s inability to meet basic living necessities. The Fund is supported by voluntary charitable donations provided by faculty, staff and any entities wanting to assist Emory community members facing unexpected financial challenges. All regular full- and part-time faculty and staff are eligible to apply. All applications shall remain confidential.

The need for funding must be due to a catastrophic event.
