7. Land Based Rescue – Rope Throw Assess the situation using the Emergency Action Model 1.Gain attention of casualty by shouting and signalling to them. 9. Treatment of Shock A casualty with shock may be pale with cold, clammy skin; they may be thirsty, feel sick, may be sweating and feeling dizzy. To treat the casualty: 1.Lay the casualty down, and raise their legs. Loosen clothing around the casualty’s neck. 2.Keep the casualty warm and call 999 and ask for an ambulance. 2h Back Exit Forward
