23. Spencer Spencer School is located on 207 Westfield Street. Originally named West Side Elementary School. Spencer School was renamed in 1955 to honor Bertrand Spencer a prominent attorney and mayor of Middletown.

24. Wesley Wesley school is located on Wesleyan Hills Road. Wesley is named after Vivan Wesley who was a lifelong resident of Middletown and a reading consultant in the Middletown School System.

Woodrow Wilson Middle School Woodrow Wilson Middle School was named after Woodrow Wilson, professor at Wesleyan and our 28 th President of the United States. 7 th and 8 th grade students attend the Middle School. It is located on Wilderman’s Way. Lowry Wilderman was a Social Studies Teacher in Middletown.

27. Middletown High School Middletown High School is located on Hunting Hill Avenue. Students in grades 9,10,11 and 12 go there. The first high school in the state was located in Middletown.
