16 Ride Connection Ride Connection has been providing mobility management to the Portland metro area for close to 30 years through an array of urban and rural options: Travel Training Community Based Transportation Grocery Shuttles Cause Based Recruiting ACS and Veterans Program Ride Together Deviated Fixed Route

17 Customers Always Have a Vote Travel Coaching –All new customers have a a conversation with our highly skilled travel coaches who assess for transportation needs, mobility goals and personal preferences –Individuals are matched with transportation options based on their needs, goals and preferences Our overarching goal is the most appropriate, least restrictive mode –Even if it means service is provided by someone else

21 21 1960’s People For People was incorporated in 1965 as a non-profit organization 1980’s In 1982, People For People began senior transportation services in Yakima County with 5 vehicles 1990’s People For People History In 1990, People For People commenced operation of transportation services in Grant, Adams, and Lincoln counties, offering services to seniors and those with special needs 2000’s In 2011, People For People began the Mobility Coordinator/Travel Trainer Program in Adams, Lincoln and Grant counties

22 Community Partner Involvement People For People’s community involvement is an integral part of our business. Below are some of the partnerships we maintain:

23 Mobility Management Goals for Adams, Lincoln & Grant Counties Increase access to health care, education, employment, social services and activities that improve the lives of vulnerable populations and the general public through coordinated transportation efforts Provide individual and group training sessions to seniors, veterans, youths, mobility challenged, and low income individuals Coordinate training with other public transportation providers to familiarize riders and promote an increased utilization with existing transit services Facilitate the coordination of existing transportation services to increase efficiency and promote lower cost transportation solutions t23

24 Steps to Achieve Our Mobility Goals Coordinate transportation services with health & human service providers to support their individual client needs Define gaps in transportation resources, identify appropriate resource solutions Expand and promote existing mobility options based on growing community needs Create presentations to educate and inform community groups on available transportation options and resources in and out of service area Provide group and one-on-one travel training sessions to potential users of all transportation services Maintain marketing/public relation strategies and materials for promoting the use of transportation services 24
