Ultriva Rules – Agenda Review some things from the last session Learn how to create a grid alert when the grouping feature is used Go over the new webinar portion of the help site We will have a few short surveys throughout this webinar and will give you the results 4

Rules/Alerts Review – General Info Rules allow users to set up alerts that are generated when an event happens or does not happen Do not Edit or make any changes to rules that are going to a table Detailed information is available using the “How do I?” feature when you are viewing the Rule List 5

Grouping Email Alerts When you use Grouping, the alert is not sent immediately, instead anything triggered within the timeframe selected will be delivered in one email Grouping may not be useful in all situations, especially if the information is time critical – Rescheduling and supplier may be gone for the day, or if being notified of shipments and supplier is just a few miles away 6

Grouping Email Alerts Default 7 Grid Alert

Rules/Alerts – Grouping Option Best Practices If you are grouping, you should only use the Email option Set up a separate rule if you want the browser alert also Set up on your TEST site first After testing the rule – copy paste the body when you create it in the PRODUCTION environment To create the grid alert, there is a specific syntax that must be followed exactly for it to be generated properly 8

Rules/Alerts – Grid Syntax - Beginning Start with an Open Brace then the Pipe Symbol 9 {| End with the Pipe Symbol followed by a Closed Brace |}

Rules/Alerts – Grid Syntax - Headers Start and end with the Pipe Symbol (|) then a Dash (-) 10 {| |- Start with an Exclamation Point (!) then enter the Headers that you want separated by Exclamation Points |} ! Release Date ! Card ID ! PO No ! Reqd Ship Date

Rules/Alerts – Grid Syntax - Insert Fields Start with the Pipe Symbol (|) then Insert the fields you want separated by the Pipe Symbol – Be sure you are putting them in the same order as your headers 11 {| |- | |} ! Release Date ! Card ID ! PO No ! Reqd Ship Date ['%HDID;DST;' KC:ReleaseDate] | [releaseid('KC:BPFL_GID', 'cycleno')] | [CYCL:SupplierPONum] | ['%HDID;DS;' KC:ReqShipDate]
