5. Shipping Rules – When to Use Supplier only ships on – specific days of the week – specific times of the month – every N Days 5

Shipping Rules - Considerations Generally best to include lead time so the supplier has time to process orders When including the lead time – the rule will say something like If the “Release time is on or before… “ it actually means Release Time + Lead Time Make sure you have enough safety stock because if the supplier is shipping once per week and you are consuming every day you need to make sure you have enough on-hand Ultriva is not taking into account any of these delays so it is always best to make sure of the safety stock If you have selected Saturday or Sunday, make sure it is not set as a holiday. 6

Shipping Rules - General Guidelines to Follow when configuring Every hour of every day must be accounted for There can be no overlap of hours or days The rules will be evaluated in the order shown on the screen and the week starts on Sunday (Midnight/00:00 on Sunday) so that is where we start when setting them up You should end up with N + 1 Shipping Rules (N = Number of Shipping days) – There is one exception that we will go over 7

Shipping Rules – Example #1 Shipping one day per week Supplier Ships one day a week – Every Thursday If I release the card on or before Wednesday 18:00 then supplier will ship same week Thursday 18:00 If I release the card after Wednesday 18:00 then the supplier will ship next week Thursday 18:00 Supplier ships 1 day per week and we have 2 rules (N+1) where N = days per week shipped 8

Shipping Rules 2 Days Per Week Supplier ships Tuesdays and Thursdays If I release on or before Monday 18:00 then supplier will ship on Tuesday 18:00 If I release is between Monday 18:00 and Wednesday 18:00 then supplier will ship on Thursday 18:00 If release after Wednesday 18:00 then supplier will ship next week Tuesday 18:00 Supplier ships 2 days and we have 3 rules - (N+1) where N = days per week shipped 9
