Analyse why and how referrals are made to different agencies( at least three different professionals) Summarise why recorded information should be accurate, legible, concise, and meet legal requirements.

Clear and effective communication We have previously looked at effective communication. List all the key points of effective communication...

Why is clear and effective communication important? (Think consequences)

Effective Communication It is common for children to move between different types of education and care provision over the course of the week, for example a child who goes part-time to a nursery, spends time with a childminder and has respite care every other weekend. In such a situation, staff may not be working physically alongside each other but as they are all involved with the same child they need to communicate and work together.

Carl is three years old. He is in foster care awaiting adoption. He has a social worker who is responsible for his foster placement and for preparing him for adoption. Carl attends a Children’s Centre every day. At the moment Carl needs support in managing his behaviour and has a member of staff who is dedicated to being with him while he makes the transition from foster care into being with his adoptive family. Who are all the people who are involved with Carl and will need to be part of the ‘effective communication links’? Why is effective communication important in this situation?
