Our bodies need a variety of different foods so that they can keep working properly. Let’s look at the sort of foods we should be eating and why they are good for us.

Carbohydrates are in starchy and sugary foods. Carbohydrates give you energy. These foods contain carbohydrates. potato cereal pasta rice
Fruits and vegetables contain vitamins, minerals and other good things They help your bodies to work properly and help you grow. These are really good for us. carrot applecorn grapes
Dairy foods Dairy foods give your body energy and help you grow. These are dairy foods. milk cheese butter yoghurt
Meat, Fish and their alternatives contain protein. Proteins give you energy and help your body get better. Here are some good ways of getting protein. beef eggs fish nuts
Foods containing fat and sugar We only need a small amount of these foods. Although they taste good these foods can be bad for you if you eat too many! chocolate biscuits burger cake
So, let’s recap…… Carbohydrates give us energy. Fruit and vegetables help your bodies to work and grow. Dairy foods help our bodies to grow.
Proteins help your body get better. We only need a small amount of fat and sugar.
