3 About ASDAN Started in 1980 with a handful of schools 5000+ centres registered in 2006 Profits are re- invested in further development, or tackling inequality ASDAN the acronym Registered Charity, Scottish office at Glasgow University Managed by teachers and lecturers

5 Status of ASDAN Approved under Section 96 & 97 by the DfES 70 points from UCAS for highest level of ASDAN Highlighted in Tomlinson Report Recognised by SQA as template for Core Skill development National Awarding Body for UK Referred to in the 14-19 White Paper (Para 9.24)
