2 History According to the Victorian Station’s website, the most popular style of architecture during the Victorian period is what is called the Greek Revival. The Victorian period is the time period during 1825-1900. Below demonstrates the Greek revival style that was popular up until around 1840. All images from www.victorianstation.com <- This house in Athens, GA shows an example of steeply gabled roofs. Here homes are noted for their fancy and sometimes fancy colors and for their alcoves. All images from www.victorianstation.com This house shows turrets, windowed alcoves along with bold colors. -> <- This house coordinates light blue with a bright yellow trim.
