9 Occupational Health & Safety training and consultancy previous next Medical Emergency What to do in an medical emergency: 1.Stay calm, so you can think clear 2.If life threatening call national emergency number first and inform your safety officer 3.Do not move a seriously injured person. 4.Quickly perform four steps of the checklist. 5.Prepare for arrival of emergency services and point them to the scene  Check breathing, start CPR if necessary and if you are trained  Control serious bleeding by direct pressure on the wound  Keep victim still and comfortable  Remain with victim until help arrives
