12HONEYWELL - CONFIDENTIAL File Number QUIETPRO Key Characteristics Tests the integrity of the seal and fit of each eartip. Alerts user of poor fit, indicators on Control Unit and in the headset. Ensures minimum passive noise attenuation threshold is achieved (20dB). Actual ‘achieved’ attenuation will most likely be much greater than the minimum threshold for the fit test alarm. Automatically starts on system power-on. Can be manually re-started by user if needed during shift. 13 13HONEYWELL - CONFIDENTIAL File Number QUIETPRO Key Characteristics Personal Sound Exposure Monitoring (PSEM) function. Provides the worker’s with an indication of their personal exposure to sound, behind the eartip, during the working shift. Worker sound exposure includes external noise, but also sound from communication device. Alerts the worker in ‘real-time’ if maximum permitted sound exposure level is reached. Sound exposure level is set to comply with local noise regulations directives. Allows immediate action to be taken to minimize risk of Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL). 14 14HONEYWELL - CONFIDENTIAL File Number QUIETPRO Key Characteristics Environmental sounds external to headset will be heard ‘naturally’ by worker. Ensures safety awareness of immediate surroundings. Always allows worker to hear sounds as though the headset is ‘transparent’ to sound, when safe. When harmful noise is detected, the ultra-fast acoustic processing in the Control Unit responds and limits the sounds that are allowed through the eartips. Impulse sounds are effectively blocked and will not harm the user. Worker can manually control sound level – up and down. Automatically protects hearing ONLY when required. QUIETPRO never overprotects the worker and isolates them from their environment. Environmental sounds external to headset will be heard ‘naturally’ by worker. 18 18HONEYWELL - CONFIDENTIAL File Number QUIETPRO Key Characteristics In-ear microphone picks up workers voice within ear canal. Transmitted voice from worker is free from external noise. Received communications by worker is heard clearly due to high noise attenuation provided by the QUIETPRO headset. Attenuating the unwanted noise allows the worker to decrease the volume of the radio/cell phone. This further limits personal sound exposure and promotes healthy hearing. 20 20HONEYWELL - CONFIDENTIAL File Number QUIETPRO Key Characteristics The QUIETPRO headset is compatible with many combinations of Personal Protection Equipment: Hard Hats – the small earpieces do not interfere with the head protection. Eyeware / Goggles / Faceshields – the earpiece fits within the outer ear. There is no issue with the strap or frame of the eye protection breaking the seal of the earmuff and reducing its optimal attenuation. Respirators – voice is picked up from within the ear canal which allows for clear communication even if wearing a mask in front of your mouth. No boom microphone that is not compatible with respirators and full face mask. No need to try and connect a voice module from the respirator to the radio. No breathing noises caused by wearing breathing apparatus being transmitted to the receiving party. 23 Sound Management Technologies

24HONEYWELL - CONFIDENTIAL File Number Passive Noise Reduction Ear tips provide passive hearing protection – very similar to a foam ear plug. Very effective at reducing mid to high frequency noises. - Sandblasting - High pressure water / air - Impulse sounds. Pneumatic values - Gun Shots, explosions QUIETPRO impulse noise capability is a function of high performance ear tips and ultra fast hear-through processing and not Active Noise Reduction.

25HONEYWELL - CONFIDENTIAL File Number Active Noise Reduction (ANR) Principle Unwanted noise in ear is picked up by inner microphone Electronics process the noise to create anti- noise - Invert it 180 degrees - Matching amplitude levels - Ultra fast with minimum of delay Loudspeaker puts anti- noise back in to the ear. Sounds cancel each other. Result is a significantly lower noise in ear. Unwanted noise Anti-noise Residual noise

26HONEYWELL - CONFIDENTIAL File Number ANR vs. Passive Attenuation Active Noise Reduction provides higher attenuation of lower frequencies Passive protection in mid/higher frequencies

Personal Sound Exposure Monitoring PSEM

28HONEYWELL - CONFIDENTIAL File Number Personal Sound Exposure Monitoring PSEM provides an ‘indication’ of real personal noise exposure of the worker. - Also includes effect of communication / volume. Exposure indication for a full working shift - Shift patterns 8 – 12 hours in duration Automatic voice message in the headset - When approaching exposure limits - when the maximum exposure level has been reached. - Voice messages can be cancelled by worker to allow continued working. (not recommended)

29HONEYWELL - CONFIDENTIAL File Number Personal Sound Exposure Monitoring LED indicator lights provide visual indicators - Maximum exposure LED indicator can not be cancelled without resetting PSEM function. Exposure limits set in Control Unit according to local noise regulations Data is processed within Control Unit
