4 Peltor Lite-Com Peltor Lite-Com III
Efficient hearing protectors with electronics for almost unlimited communication. Built-in communication radio for ”hands-free” short range communication. Headset for external audio equipment, like another comm.radio, a mobile telephone, an FM radio, CD player etc … Lite-Com III have most functions equal o LC II LLPB 0410

5 Peltor Lite-Com III Efficient hearing protectors with electronics for almost unlimited communication. Volume dependent stereo surround sound Sounds from the surrounding; conversation, sounds from machines and warning signals are reproduced in full stereo, which gives a correct direction to the sound source. Weak sounds can even be amplified to higher level than without hearing protector. Same function as LC II Impulse noises are effectively reduced to harmless level.

6 Peltor Lite-Com III Efficient hearing protectors with electronics for almost unlimited communication. Buttons easily reachable and logically placed. Electronic voice confirming all settings. No need for taking off the headset / hearing protector. Actual settings are shown at LCD on the right cup. Four different settings can be stored in memories. Buttons placed as before The electronic voice is new; recorded in a Canadian studio LCD screen to be used for settings in in low noise areas The screen is changed according to the menu cycle: Surround, Volume, Channel, VOX, Squelch, Sub channel, Power, Memories as LC II All settings for 4 different environments or other preferences can be stored for later recall. Automatic turn off after two hours of inactivity. No active battery save function available in the new Lite-Com III The headset is automatically turned off two hours after the last change to save the batteries. LLPB 0410

7 Peltor Lite-Com III Efficient hearing protectors with electronics for almost unlimited communication. Attenuation (A band): SNR=31 dB H=33, M=28, L=21, Dark blue coloured cups to separate from ATEX headsets. Attenuation same as LC II The stylish ”dark blue” colour is ”BC-blue”, the same as the Wireless Solutions headset. (The previous more clear BA blue is reserved for EX products) LLPB 0410

Voice Operated Transmission (VOX) for “hands-free” operation Push-To-Talk (PTT) in very noisy environments Electret or dynamic microphone with excellent noise suppression. VOX setting has 5 steps PTT-button is placed on the lower back side of the right cup To be pressed with the thumb Electret mike suppresses background noise with 28 dB at 1kHz (dynamic value is 12 dB at 1 kHz) Frequencies the same as before Two frequency ranges LPD 433 MHz or PMR 446 MHz LLPB 0410

9 Peltor Lite-Com III Built-in communication radio Lite-Com III PMR 446
PMR Private Mobile Radio Frequency band is 446 MHz 8 channels Multiplied with 38 sub channels by added tone codes (”sub tones”). 8 channels Simplex = Only one signal at the same time. You have to listen before you speak. In urban areas, especially, all channels can be busy, even if the highest permitted power output on 446 MHz band is only 500 mW. 38 sub channels is a new feature! When transmitting there is a selected tone code (sub tone) to open the squelch of the receiver. The sub channel set on ”0” opens the receiver for listening to all communication on the selected channel. Anti VOX in LC stops transmitting, if there is already a signal on the channel. It prevents misunderstandings due to interference with other signals. For an emergency reason you can transmit by PTT, but you can not be sure of intelligibility. More users can work on the same channel without having to listen to each other. Anti VOX prevents from interfering on an already occupied frequency LLPB 0410

10 Peltor Lite-Com III Built-in communication radio Lite-Com III PMR 446
Two output levels: 25 mW or 150mW. Working range of up to about 2 km at high power. Standard batteries Two 1.5V type AA batteries; alkaline or rechargeable batteries are required. Peltor NiMH accumulator ACK03 (1200 mAh) or other rechargeable batteries of type AA can also be used. Output power LO = 25 mW and HI = 150 mW Improves the range slightly. Operating times Calculated theoretically 10/10/80 LO = 23 h HI = 17 h 20/20/60 LO = 21 h HI = 15 h Varies a lot depending of the way of use. New ACK mAh NiMH Takes about half the energy of what we call “a standard battery”. Limited by the size to fit in the 1,5V battery compartment. Easier to change than standard size AA accumulators. Chargers FR03 for both Europe and UK Operating time around 15 hours with 2000 mAh batteries. (20% Hi power speech, 20% receiving, 60% stand-by). Operating time varies greatly depending on the type of batteries and how the Lite-Com is used. LLPB 0410

11 Peltor Lite-Com III Built-in communication radio Lite-Com III LPD 433
LPD Low Power Device Frequency band is 433 MHz 69 channels in the 433 MHz band. 10 mW output power Working range of up to about 1 km. On 433 MHz there are, as previously, 69 channels available, where the allowed maximum power of 10 mW gives a working range of up to about 1 km in free space. Low Power Device means maximum 10 mW output Operating times Calculated theoretically 10/10/80% LO = 23 h HI = 19 h 20/20/60% LO = 21 h HI = 18 h Almost 10% less time with doubled speech activity but it varies a lot depending of type of battery and the way of use! Operating time around 18 hours with 2000 mAh batteries. (20% Hi power speech, 20% receiving, 60% stand-by). Operating time varies greatly depending on the type of batteries and how the Lite-Com is used. LLPB 0410

12 Peltor Lite-Com III Headset for connected external equipment
Another communication radio, mobile telephone, FM radio receiver, CD-player et c. can be connected to the external audio socket Separate “PPT AUX” for operating an externally connected communication radio or telephone. LC III can be used as headset to external equipment. The internal communication radio has top priority. Other sounds are automatically muted LLPB 0410
