WORLD WAR 1 Years Involved: 1914-1918 Involved Countries: – Central Powers (Austria-Hungary, Germany) – Allied Powers (Russia, France and Great Britain)
WORLD WAR 2 Years Involved : 1939-1945 Countries Involved: – Axis Powers (Germany, Italy and Japan) – Allied Forces (Soviet Union, France,Great Britain, US and China)
Remote Causes WW2 A. Economic Reason - Due to Great Depression - Experienced economic difficulties
Remote Causes of WW2 B. Militarism – discovery of a more destructive weapon – to ensure protection for their nations’ interests

Effect of Nationalism Gives sense of pride Moves people to do everything for their country
Remote Causes of WW2 D. Treaty of Versailles - one provision was that Germany accepts sole responsibility for being cause of WW1. - they must pay 134billion marks for the war damages to other countries. - Germany did not agree
