9 Lethal Intervention? Shooting using blanks – NO NE licence required (NB. SSSI) Shooting does have practical limitations. 1 st Sept – 15 th March; 15 th May to protect S&ST smolt run) Start when birds first arrive and before they establish feeding habits Aid to enhance scaring/non-lethal Lead vs. Steel shot Co-ordination of actions Adapt & innovate!
