2 Type “SET”; ENTER

3 Creating an Order Set 1) Free-text the name of a New Order Set; ENTER
Type “Y”; ENTER

4 Press ENTER to move your cursor through each modifiable option on the screen until you have File/Exit(ed).

5 1) ENTER 2) Enter Order Type (i.e. Lab, Rad, RX, or Con); ENTER 3) Type in the desired Lab, Rad, Rx, or Con; ENTER Depending on what Order Type you entered, you will be taken through the ordering process for that Order Type. The following slides only demonstrate a lab order.

6 Schedule Type is defaulted for “Now”, but you can change this if desired;
ENTER, ENTER, ENTER, ENTER if you are okay with the defaults. Type in a comment; ENTER

7 1) ENTER 2) Enter Order Type (i.e. RX); ENTER 3) Type in the desired medication; ENTER 4) Type in the number of the medication; ENTER 5) Type in the SIG; ENTER

8 Input a QTY; ENTER Input Refills;

9 1) ENTER 2) ENTER

10 1) ENTER 2) Enter Order Type (i.e. Rad); ENTER 3) Type in the desired procedure; ENTER 4) Type in the number of the procedure; ENTER

11 You must type in a Clinical Impression;
ENTER ENTER through each field until you ENTER

12 Option 1: Step 1-Quit and Save
“Q” to save and quit; ENTER

13 Option 1: Step 2, ENTER.

14 Option 2: Modifying an Order Set
Free-text the name of an Existing Order Set; ENTER

15 Option 2: Step 2 ENTER, ENTER, ENTER, ENTER.

16 Option 2: Step 3-Modify Type “M” to modify, or “D” to delete specific orders; ENTER

17 Option 2: Step 4-Select Item to Modify
Use the END key to select the order(s) you need to modify; ENTER

18 Option 2: Step 5-Change Item
Press ENTER to move your cursor through each modifiable option on the screen until you have File/Exit(ed).

19 Option 2: Step 6-Save Changes
ENTER

20 Option 2: Step 7-ENTER

21 Option 2: Step 8-Quit and Save
“Q” to save and quit; ENTER
