I can use data shown on double bar and line graphs to help me make predictions. I can develop and use stem- and-leaf plots. “I Can” Lessons TN14 and TN15 I can describe the meaning of “data collection methods”. I can describe the meaning of numerical data. I can design an investigation to address a question. I can explain how the method I use to collect data may affect the results. I can describe the meaning of categorical data. I can tell the difference between data that is described only with numbers and data that is grouped into categories. Use TN14 and TN15 after lesson 18.1

“I Can” Lesson I can find the average (mean) of a set of numbers. I can use mean, mode, and range to help me read, understand, and show data. I can show data different ways such as on graphs and charts. Teach TN16 after lesson 18.8 (see next slide)
