2. Beginning a Presentation
Open Microsoft PowerPoint
Open a blank presentation
Insert your first slide

3. Inserting a new slide Go to INSERT Select NEW SLIDE
double click on the type of slide that you would like

4. Inserting text Click on the text box Type in the information
Hit the enter key when finished

5. Double click to add clip art
Inserting a Graphic
Select a new slide with a graphic box
double click on the graphic box
select the clip-art you want
Double click to add clip art

6. Different PowerPoint Views
Slide View
Outline View
Slide Sorter View
Notes Page
Slide Show

7. Slide View Views only one slide at a time
Use this view when working on a slide

8. Outline View See your presentation in outline form
You can make changes to one or more of your slides

9. Slide Sorter View
You can view all of your slides just as they will appear
You can move slides around in different orders

10. Notes Page View Allows you to see your slide
Allows you to add notes to each slide
Insert notes here

11. Slide Backgrounds Go to FORMAT Select APPLY DESIGN
Choose the style you want
Click OK

12. Saving your work... File/Save As..
Select the directory in which to save your presentation
Give your presentation a name
Click OK

13. Viewing your slide show...
Go to View
Select “Slide Show”
Left mouse click to advance to the next slide
Right click to end the slide show.

Go to the Assignments page by clicking on the link below…
