ProEdit :: Writing a Procedure Preparing to write a procedure Before beginning the write the procedure the specifications for the instrument are required – these can be found from the following sources : Instrument manufacturers handbook Manufacturers web site Catalogues such as R.S., Farnell or other instrument resellers

ProEdit :: Writing a Procedure Step 1 Start ProEdit Select File Procedure Builder Wizard Loop Tester

ProCal :: Writing a Procedure Step 2 Enter Manufacturer, Model Number and Version number

ProCal :: Writing a Procedure Step 3 SECTION 1 : LOOP RESISTANCE TESTS Select a range from the first drop down list. A set of values is displayed – select the required resistance values It is recommended to set at least 3 test points for each range For each additional range, select from the drop down lists (up to 3 ranges can be set) Tip : Use the Select All or Select None buttons to easily set resistance values. Range 1Range 2Range 3 Note : The resistance values shown are the NOMINAL values. The actual value will be the NOMINAL + SUPPLY LOOP resistance (automatically read back from the 2100 calibrator)

ProCal :: Writing a Procedure Step 3 Cont’d SECTION 1 : LOOP RESISTANCE TESTS Select the accuracy for the ranges (use one or more of these boxes) % of Reading % of Range ± Counts

ProCal :: Writing a Procedure Step 5 SECTION 6 : ADDITIONAL CHECKS Select from the following type tests Indicator Check Display Check Controls Check Tests are performed manually and either pass or fail selected on screen.

ProCal :: Writing a Procedure Step 7 The Use Uncertainty Statements option will automatically select the correct uncertainty statements for the procedure, based on the functions selected.

ProCal :: Writing a Procedure Step 8 Click on the Build Procedure button to proceed When this message appears click No to close the screen or Yes to create another procedure

ProCal :: Viewing a Procedure Step 1 Now the procedure has been created, it can be viewed using ProEdit. Select File > Edit An Existing Procedure Select Model Number and enter CM500, then click Start Search

ProCal :: Modifying a Procedure Step 2 The CM500 procedure will be listed, select the line and click Accept

ProCal :: Modifying a Procedure Step 3 The procedure instrument information screen will be displayed – click Next to continue. Uncertainty statements & traceable instruments screen will be displayed – click Next to continue.

ProCal :: Modifying a Procedure Step 4 Click the Show All button – a scrollable list will display all the procedure tests

ProCal :: Modifying a Procedure Step 5 Test information can be viewed and edited if required Note : The accuracy automatically recalculates based on the change of test value
