4ProSet :: Autonumbers Individual number counters are available for the following :Standard CertificatesAccredited CertificatesCertificates of ConformanceElectrical Safety CertificatesTest ReportsSystem ID NumberThese numbers can be a combination ofletters and numbers. The ‘core’ number willbe incremented each time the type ofnumber is used.Note : The type number used is dependanton the procedure certificate type selected.
5ProSet :: GPIB Setup To enable GPIB operation, a type of GPIB card should be selected :Brain BoxesNational Instruments*National Instruments GPIB devices are recommended(supports PCI • PC Cards & USB variants)Selection of a GPIB card automatically enablesGPIB initialisation for any device set up using ProSet.
6ProSet :: Languages The available languages are displayed in a drop down list. Simply select the requiredlanguage and then close ProSet to set thisas the current language.

8ProSet :: System Instruments Overview Instruments 1 to 10 are reserved forspecific types of instrument :1 : System Multimeter2 : System DMM3 : System Oscilloscope Calibrator4 : System Electrical Test Equipment Calibrator5 : System R/C/L Bridge6 : Pressure Calibrator7-10 : Reserved for Future UseInstrument lines 11+ are available for general use.Additional lines can be added to the list using the ADDbutton in the toolbar or by selecting Edit -> Add Instrument.

14ProSet :: Instrument Traceability Local / Server Settings Local setting stores instrumentinformation on the local workstation – each workstation can then store different traceable instrument lists.This allows different workstations to use different items of equipment.Server setting stores instrument on central server, so workstations share the same traceable instrument information.This allows new traceable data. eg. a changein value for a resistor to be updated on theserver, and then all workstations willautomatically use this new value.
15ProSet :: Uncertainty Tables Each traceable instrument can have anuncertainty table set up, which can be usedBy ProCal to automatically calculateuncertainties to 95% M3003 standards.Uncertainties are entered as per the ranges for an instrument, or individually for standards.The uncertainty tables for theTransmille range instrumentsare pre-installed with ProCalallowing the auto uncertaintiesfunction to be used‘out of the box’.
16ProSet :: Uncertainty Tables (Cont’d) The uncertainties table is made up of linesof information including :Imported Uncertainty (the uncertainty from the calibration certificate for this reference standard)Stability of Reference (the accuracy of the reference standard as per the manufacturers specifications)These figures are included into the final calculation when thisreference standard is in use for a calculation
17ProSet :: Certificate Settings To customise the certificate, settings can bechanged to include the following information :Laboratory Name, Address and accreditation numberSignatory NamesDefault Environmental Uncertainties
18ProSet :: Uncertainty Templates The new uncertainties system allows specifictemplates to be set up for any parameter,using a ‘spreadsheet style’ view.For each parameter, up to 15 sources ofUncertainty can be added in addition to the fourmain contributions :Imported UncertaintyStability of ReferenceResolutionNoise / FlickerContribution settings include :Probability DistributionDivisorCi Value
19ProSet :: Program Options ProCal can be customised to suit userrequirements, and make using ProCalas easy as possible.Customisable options include :Startup screenCertificate printingTest failed optionsDefault results typeCrystal Reportsactivation & defaultsLanguage
20ProSet :: User Access Permissions Users can be added to the system to allowusers to login. When calibrating, theusername is used automatically.Passwords are optional – if a password isnot selected the login system will simplyask for a username tobe selected.Users can be set to oneof 3 access levels :OperatorEngineerAdministrator*At least one user should be setas Administrator
21ProSet :: Check Traceable Instruments This useful function allows ProSet torun a check on the traceableinstrument list.If any problems are found, theseInstruments will be displayedIn a list indicatingeither information isIncomplete or theInstrument is nearingIts recalibration date.This function is also runautomatically by ProCalon startup.
22ProSet :: Setup Label Printer ProSet supports the use ofdedicated label printers.The label printer settings can beconfigured to include thecompany logo and footerInformation, as well as thecompany logo*Note : For the DYMO labelprinter the label setup isperformed using the DYMOsoftware supplied with theprinter.
