Paul begins a sentence here that goes all the way to verse 14.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 

6. Ephesians 1:4-14
4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

REDEMPTION
All of those terms speak of the wondrous miracle of salvation. All of those things; justification, forgiveness, adoption, reconciliation and red emption are provided because Jesus paid the price. Do you understand that? We are accused but He bore our punishment so we can be set free. We are debtors, He paid our debt. We are strangers but He is a Son and we are in Him made sons. We are enemies but He is a friend and we in Him are friends of God. We are slaves but He has bought our freedom, you see.
