13 God’s Definition of Wealth
It doesn’t tarnish. It cannot be stolen. It cannot be lost. It is eternal.

14 Ephesians 1:3–12 (ESV) The Father Selected Us to be wealthy 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.

15 The Son Has Saved Us and made us wealthy
7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. 11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.

16 We are Rich Because by grace the Father Selected us (1:4-6)
Because by grace the Son has Saved Us and made us sons (1:7-12) Because by grace the Spirit has Secured us (1:13-14)

17 Last Week we saw that: We are rich because the Father selected us:
before the foundation of the world (v. 4) to be his children through adoption (v. 5) So that he would be praised because of the glory of His grace (v. 6).

18 Today we will see that we are wealthy
Because by the outpouring of the riches of his grace through his son we are rich (1:7-12). Because we have been bought with the blood of Christ (v. 7) Because we have been forgiven for our sins (v. 7) Because we have been given the wisdom to understand the mystery of His will (8-10) That all things will be brought together in Christ. That we have an inheritance in all things through Christ.

19 We Were bought with a price
7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us,

20 Redemption – We have been bought
Blood of Christ

21 Redemption – We have been bought
Dead in Trespasses and sins In bondage to the things of this world Under law, not grace Children of Satan In the flesh Alive in Christ Freed from the bondage of this world No longer under law but under grace Children of God In the Spirit Blood of Christ

22 We Were bought with a price
7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, Christ took our trespasses and nailed them to the Cross. He took our judgment for us. We are forgiven for our part in the Sin of Adam. We are forgiven for our personal sins.

23 We Were bought with a price
7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, Riches – Wealth, abundant resources Grace – unmerited/undeserved favor Lavished upon us – beyond what is necessary, overabundance, exceedingly more…

24 We are wealthy In the knowledge of The mystery of His will
in all wisdom and insight 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ Mystery of the redemption and forgiveness (Gospel) through Christ Mystery of including Gentiles into the program And …….

25 Wealthy in the knowledge of the unification of the Cosmos
10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. Note: He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world. Now, he unites the cosmos together IN HIM. Everything is restored to conform with the character of God through Christ.

26 We are Wealthy because we are His Children
11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, Because we are in Christ, we are adopted Children of the Father. As Children, we benefit in the wealth possessed by the Father. Our Father created the universe and owns all things Our Father loves enjoys handing out blessings to his children because we love his son.

27 We are Wealthy because we are His Children
11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, It’s all of the Father’s doing. He predetermined the program according to his purpose He works out the program according to His will He gets the credit for it

28 God Gets the Praise 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.

29 God’s Grace has made us wealthy
Creation is Grace The existence of Angels is by God’s grace Our existence is by God’s grace Our adoption is by God’s grace Our salvation is by God’s Grace But the greatest act of grace of His grace is ….

30 The Grace in giving His beloved Son.

31 John 3:16 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
