15 Rush Creek Church with little kids (If it were 1822 when the church was built, could be our little Davy Lindsey running around).

16 Old chestnut logs inside (new siding outside covers the logs now)

17 Service is 4 hours long. Starts with a capella singing, then 5 sermons with singing between, then communion: the bread, the wine, the foot washing.

26 More on Elizabeth Lindsey Born about 1793 in Sally Run or Walkers Creek VA Grew up in Washington Co. on banks of South Holston where the Laurel comes in. We are not sure when she was married to Thomas H. Johnson, estimate it would be about 1810 or She bore about 5-8 children, including Barbara Johnson. Elizabeth is not listed on the 1860 Johnson Co census, but is on the 1850 and She is named and alive on a Johnson County Deed dated Aug So presumably her death is between that date and the 1860 census.
