7 AAUM College Pilot Program U-M is one of 10-12 universities invited to an exclusive 12-month pilot program with LinkedIn (MSU, Stanford, Illinois, Northwestern, Syracuse, Toronto, Carnegie Mellon) LinkedIn is developing a suite of services/products for higher ed and AAUM will have beta access LinkedIn Goals are to help engage alumni, target markets and develop leads

8 Pilot Program Details 1.LinkedIn Research access. Provide AAUM with license create deeper search queries to analyze current alumni trends 2.Database Matching. Create a unique URL matched to AAUMs data for alumni contact management system 3.Coauthored email campaigns. Emails from LinkedIn and AAUM to increase Group members, LI users 4.Technical Support. Direct access to LinkedIn technical support and training

9 Alumni Association Feedback 1.Testing. First access to LinkedIns TBA suite of services for colleges and universities 2.Meetings. Monthly meetings with pilot universities for best practices 3.Marketing. Participation in case studies or press releases 4.Reporting. AAUM will share results from the licensed Researcher searches and email campaigns

11 FAQ Why the Alumni Association? With close to 200,000 LinkedIn users self-listed as having attended U-M, AAUM has a built-in audience. What happens to AAUMs data? LinkedIn does not retain or share AAUM data. It is used for one- time matching purposes only. Who uses the LinkedIn Group? Currently, AAUM verifies the alumni or student status of each request to join the group. How does this fit in with AAUMs social media strategy? AAUMs goal is to connect with alumni where they spend their time.
