4. When the passengers land, they are on a great land. One night Native Americans attack and they scare them away with their cannons.

5. John Smith made peace with Chief Powhattan after being captured. Polcahantas saved him before his execution. After this, the Indians were helpful, and played a big part in the survival of Jamestown.

6. Soon after this famous peace, John Smith became the leader of the colony. He did not believe in the lacking of work by the ‘gentlemen’ and made a rule that everyone but those sick will work for their food. Unlike the nobles, he worked next to the men, he shared their labor.

7. Soon later, John Smith’s leadership came to an end. He got in an accident as he was on his way, causing a sack of gun powder to explode next to him as he slept. His leg was seared, and he was to head for England to care for his wounds. Before he left, he freed Samuel so that he would not be forced into slavery to a gentleman.
