Howard Carter
Howard Carter was born in London, the son of Samuel Carter, and an artist.
Howard Carter made the discovery of king Tuts tomb in November Carter had discovered not just an unknown ancient Egyptian tomb, but one that had lain nearly undisturbed for over 3,000 years. What lay within astounded the world.

The reason that Tutankhamen is so well known today is that his tomb, containing fabulous treasures, was found early last century (1922) by British archaeologists Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon.

was statues, gold jewellery, Tutankhamen's mummy, chariots, model boats, canopic jars, chairs, and paintings.

He became pharaoh at the age of nine in 1337 BC and reigned during the 18th Dynasty when the Egyptian Empire was at its height. He reigned from about to 1328 BC.
