1 Delivering Knowledge for Health NHS eLibrary for Further Education Libraries This presentation is aimed at the staff of Further Education libraries and is focussed upon how the NHS Scotland eLibrary can help you in finding Health Information. It will give you a guided tour around the eLibrary, pointing out some of the major features and explaining what each of them does. It will also provide some examples of how eLibrary could be used in the context of a Further Education library. Click your mouse to move to the next slide.

2 Delivering Knowledge for Health Navigating this demonstration Once you’ve finished reading each slide, please click your mouse to move to the next slide.

3 Delivering Knowledge for Health NHS eLibrary is designed for use by healthcare professionals and library staff. eLibrary is not designed for public use, although members of the public are very welcome to access the free content. If a library user asks about eLibrary, you may want to guide them toward the public-orientated Health Information Plus website instead. The main use for NHS eLibrary in Further Education libraries is probably at the enquiry or reference desk. eLibrary use in FE libraries

Alternatively, you can enter the URL directly into your browser: www.elib.scot.nhs.uk A lot of the eLibrary’s content is free and will not require a password. However, some content will require an NHS Athens password in order to access it. (Note that this password is entirely separate to any Athens password students might have through the college).
