3 Replace Chiller and Rebuild Central Station AHU The chiller and air handler are original to the building and cool all of the south wing of the building and some of the north wing of the building. Replace Gym AHU Two original air-handling units serve the main gym, and are currently heating and ventilating only. Add cooling to gym While replacing the air handling units we will also add air conditioning to the gym. The gym is in the center of the south wing of the building and while everything around the gym is air conditioned, the gym is not. This will help regulate the entire building. Replace general exhaust fans, locker rooms, RR. The exhaust fans in locker rooms and restrooms no longer work or do not assist with proper air circulation. They will be replaced to help provide a healthier student environment. Replace Electrical Service Components We replaced the main service to the north wing and added service to the connecting addition. This project will replace the service components to the south wing of the building. Existing Auditorium Remodel Some minor work will be done to make the existing “cafetorium” a multi purpose room for meetings, seminars and after school practices for large groups. Precast Panel and Window Replacement The precast panels that cover the exterior of the north wing of the building have bowed and are separating from the building in the center. This will be a large project replacing all of the façade skin and most of the windows on the north wing of the building. New Auditorium A new 950 seat auditorium will be constructed on the west side of the building connecting to the cafeteria. It will replace the current “cafetorium” and stagecraft area. Remodel Existing Stage Craft The existing stagecraft room will be repurposed for storage. Roof Replacement The roof covering the main gym in the south wing will be replaced. Replace Heating Systems in Shop Classrooms The ceiling mounted heating units are original to the building. They will be replaced to increase efficiency and reduce maintenance. Replace Locker Room AHU and Add Cooling. These air-handling units provide ventilation to the locker rooms and will be replaced. Air conditioning will be added. Replace Bleachers The bleachers in the main gym are original to the building and in need of replacement. They are no longer ADA compliant, do not have handrails, and are difficult to navigate. Replace PE and Varsity Lockers Like the bleachers these are over 25 years old and will be replaced. They are in a decrepit state and it is difficult to find parts to repair them. New lockers will also provide better security for student belongings. Renovate South-East Gym Entry his entry was originally designed as a second floor entry, but over the years it has become the main entry for students entering and exiting the main gym and locker rooms before and after practice and for contests. Much of the south roof drains through the area students walk. This renovation will create an entry and that isn’t also a drainage area.
