1 Objetivo TSWBAT use the correct pronoun in Spanish in place of Subject nouns and tell which “person” is being expressed The BIG picture: knowing the correct pronouns in Spanish will help you correctly identify who you are talking to or who someone is talking about and to correctly use verbs in Spanish

2 What is…. A noun?  Person, place or thing A pronoun?  A word that takes the place of a noun  Emily ate a banana.  She ate it. Subjective vs. objective  He went with her. What are some pronouns for people?  I, You, He/him she/her  We/us,You all, y’all, They/them

3 Singular Point of view… First person Singular  I - Talking about yourself (only 1 person)  I did my homework. Second person Singular  You - Talking to someone  You go to school.  2 people involved (speaker/listener) Third person Singular  He/she - Talking about someone/thing else  He ate lunch.  3 people involved (speaker/listener/object of conversation)

4 Which person & what pronoun? Maria went to the store.  Third person singular. /She went to the store. I slept well.  First person singular You don’t like homework.  Second person singular. Juan and Mario are eating lunch.  Third person plural./They are eating lunch. Ana and I will work together.  First person plural/We will work together.
