3Pattern? What pattern?In order to conjugate an -er verb (any regular -er verb), you follow two steps:Get the stemAdd the ending
4STEM/ROOT OF THE VERB To get the stem or root of the verb, you remove the -ER at the endCHANTER -> CHANT = STEM(to sing)ÉTUDIER -> ÉTUDI = STEM(to study)
