LES VERBES EN -ER REGULAR VERBS VERBES RÉGULIERS
Réguliers? What is that? ZA verb is regular when it follows the same pattern as other verbs in the same group. ZIt means that all verbs in that group (here the -er group) are conjugating the SAME WAY!
Pattern? What pattern? ZIZIn order to conjugate an -er verb (any regular -er verb), you follow two steps: ZGZGet the stem ZAZAdd the ending
STEM/ROOT OF THE VERB Z To get the stem or root of the verb, you remove the -ER at the end CHANTER -> CHANT = STEM (to sing) ÉTUDIER -> ÉTUDI = STEM (to study)
CONJUGATION - CONJUGAISON Each pronoun is associated with a different ending, but the stem does not change Pronouns? Did you say pronouns?
