*Copyright is............ a form of legal protection given to the creators of "original works of authorship," such as.....a poem, computer program, story, lyrics to a song, choreography to dance moves, artistic works etc. U.S. copyright law generally gives the author of an original creative work an exclusive right to reproduce (copy) or distribute the original work to the public, create new works based upon the original work, and perform or display the work publicly *Copyright protection is automatically granted the moment something is CREATED. The creator doesnt have to obtain a formal copyright, display a copyright symbol or seek out legal protection … Instead copyright protection is automatically granted
