2 AESA CORTAILLOD, FOUNDED IN 1978, DEVELOPS TEST EQUIPMENTS FOR THE CABLE INDUSTRY.
AESA IS THE ONLY COMPANY IN THE CABLE TEST BUSINESS ACCREDITED AS A CALIBRATION LABORATORY FOR ELECTRICAL QUANTITIES ACCORDING TO ISO

3 GERMANY AESA AUSTRIA FRANCE SWITZERLAND ITALY

4 THREE MAIN OPERATION FIELDS :
TELECOM, XDSL AND LAN CABLES RESISTANCE MEASUREMENTS

5 Telecom cables LAN cables testing, the VEGA family
VEGA testers are compliant to the EIA/TIA and ISO standards Frequency range Number of pairs 100 kHz – 350 MHz From 4 to 25 pairs 1 MHz – 1 GHz From 4 to 28 (bundled cables) 1 MHz – 1.8 GHz 4 pairs

6 Telecom cables ADSL cables testing, the PHOENIX family
PHOENIX testers are compliant to all international standards From 8 to 112 pairs 1 kHz – 40 MHz 1 kHz – 20 MHz Number of pairs Frequency range 1 kHz – 100 MHz From 4 to 112 pairs

7 Telecom cables Telephone cables testing, the HELIOS family
HELIOS testers are compliant to all international standards Frequency range Number of pairs 1 kHz – 10 MHz From 8 to 104 pairs

8 Telecom cables VEGA, PHOENIX, HELIOS test systems
Technical features : Why : Standard Desktop PC For fast and easy replacement in case of major computer breakdown Built-in remote maintenance For on-line support anytime Can be networked For automatic results backup Swept or frequency table tests To provide a maximum of test flexibility User-configurable test reports To match all possible customer requirements Easy to use at operator level For more efficiency and limited training Very fast measurements To maximize the productivity and reduce the testing costs Very high accuracy For reliable test results ADDM database system For fast and efficient quality assurance duties

9 Telecom cables Low frequency RCKE parameters testing
Low frequency testers are compliant to international standards Type Number of pairs or quads Measurements 9300 1 Manual 9300-PC Semi-automatic TIGRIS From 10 to 130 pairs Automatic

10 Telecom cables Test systems 9300, 9300-PC, TIGRIS
Technical features : Why : 3 measuring frequencies: 12.5, 125, 800 or 1000Hz To be able to measure cables up to 40 km High accuracy For reliable test results Automatic self-calibration For continuous accurate measurements Self-cutting knives For fast cable connection Easy to use at operator level For more efficiency and limited training Connecting frames of any size To match all possible customer requirements

11 Telecom cables Testers AESA 3432, 3921, 4735
3432 Fault locator Detects resistive and capacitive faults in cable pairs. Displays the location of the fault in the cable. 3921 Megohmmeter Measures the insulation resistance at 500 VDC and converts it into MOhm x km. 4735 HV generator Tests the dielectric strength at up to 10kV DC.

12 Resistance measurements The 8130 series
Bridge type Tested conductors Measurement range 8134 Solid and stranded From 2.5mm2 to 1800mm2 Cu From 2.5mm2 to 300mm2 Al 8135 From 2.5mm2 to 1200mm2 Al 8136 From 2.5mm2 to 630mm2 Cu

13 Resistance measurements The 8130 series
Target : Save expensive raw material Technical features : Why : Very high accuracy To maximize the material savings Automatic temperature compensation Readings are given directly at 20°C Compact and robust design For safe shop floor operation Built-in temperature sensor For continuous sample temperature control Temperature stabilization device To speed up the measurement process Easy to use at operator level To maximize the productivity Can be operated remotely To allow storing test results in a PC

14 Resistance measurements The 719x family
Solid and stranded Solid and insulated Tested conductors From 0.125mm2 to 500mm2 7198 From 0.02mm2 to 30mm2 7197ET From 0.02mm2 to 100mm2 7195 Measurement range Bridge type

15 Resistance measurements The 719x family
Target : Save expensive raw material Technical features : Why : Very high accuracy To maximize the material savings Automatic temperature compensation Readings are given directly at 20°C Compact and robust design For safe shop floor operation Built-in temperature sensor For continuous sample temperature control Temperature stabilization device To speed up the measurement process Easy to use at operator level To maximize the productivity Can be operated remotely To allow storing test results in a PC
