FALSE REPRESENTATION Although many people find happiness and loving relationships through online dating, new users are often not aware of false representation People often overlook the fact that you create a profiled which can easily contain false information and leave out information Sometimes the false information can be an altered height or weight, but sometimes it can be age or leaving out a conviction

3. FALSE REPRESTATION CAN LEAD TO: FINANCIAL SCAMS BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF PUTTING YOUR FAMILY IN DANGER

4. FINANCIAL SCAMS Many people begin relationships with frauds online and dont even know it The fraud will establish a trusting relationship with the victim Then the criminal will con the victim into giving them money

5. BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF Many people are matched with someone who sounds like they would be the perfect fit They talk for a while online, and decide to meet Then an unsuspecting person is taken advantage of whether it be physically, sexually, etc.

PUTTING YOUR FAMILY IN DANGER Many people would think that an online dating site should have concern for their safety In some cases that is true, but not all sites are really interested in providing its customers with safe online environment There have been multiple cases where an online dating service had been notified that one or more of their members were convicted sex offenders and there was nothing done about it

7. EXAMPLES A man by the name of Michael Sarner plead guilty to coning a 60 yr old woman out of $100,000. He pretend to have leukemia knowing that her husband passed away from luekemia. A man by the name of Joseph Silva allegedly went to NH, and raped a woman who he was matched with online.
