4 1979 Asteroids This was one of the most popular and influential arcade games in the Golden age of Arcade Games selling 70,000 arcade cabinets. Galaxian This game has been popular since it was released and has been a part of competitive gamming ever since. Sheriff This is one of the earliest-style game and is a run and gun game. Radar Scope This game is a cross between Space Invader and Galaxian but is in three types of cabinets: upright, cockpit and cocktail. Contents

5 1980 Pac-Man This is the biggest selling game and the first maze chase game. King & Balloon This is the first game to use synthesized voices. Rally-X This is the first game to use background music, multi scrolling and a radar map. Defender This game is a slid-scrolling shooter and is set on the surface of an unnamed planet. Contents

6 1981 Donkey Kong This is one of the first platform games and it introduced Mario or Jumpman at the time. Eliminator This is a multi-directional shooter and is the only four-player vector game. Scramble This is the first side-scrolling shooter with forced scrolling and multiple distinct levels. Frogger This is a game when you need to get a frog across the road avoiding traffic. Time Pilot This game is a time traveling themed game which uses a free-roaming style gameplay. Quantum This is an arcade game that uses a 16-bit 68000CPU which gave it better details and graphics.
