2. 2 | Presentation Title What is the MAO Flow Meter? The MAO flow meter is an instrument used for monitoring or measuring the flow rate of a liquid. What type of Flow Meter does ChemTec manufacturer? 3. 3 | Presentation Title How does it work? ChemTecs flow meters measure the volumetric flow of liquids in pipes Fluid flows through the unit and displaces the Teflon ® encapsulated piston. The displacement is proportional to the volumetric flow through the unit. A transducer (encapsulated in the body, outside of the fluid path) senses the displacement of the piston. The transducers signal is converted by a microprocessor-based conditioning circuit then sends the signal to 3 types of outputs: volt, pulse and current loop. 3 types of outputs Analog: 0-5 VDC (Min. load impedance- 5k ohm in parallel with 250pf) Digital: 200 Hz (Square wave 50% duty cycle, TTL compatible output) Current Loop: 4-20 mA (Loop load- 100=1% ¼ watt) Flow in Flow out

Particularly the process fluid and installation requirements of the application. What is being measured? Is the fluid clean? Display or electronic signal output? Range? Min/max flow rate for flow meter Min/max process temperature Is the fluid chemically compatible with the flow meter wetted parts? Pipe size? Fittings? Installation? Direction? Consider the piping (what direction) and location of the flow meter. Is there magnetic fields present or possible?
