2 DUDHSAGAR FALLS-GOA The Dudhsagar Falls that offers an astounding and scenic view is located in the Mandovi River in the state of Goa. The name of the fall literally means “The Sea of Milk”. This spectacular natural phenomenon in Goa is 310 meters in height and is considered as one of the most powerful falls in the country. This 4 tiered waterfall is particularly spectacular during the monsoon season.

3 ATHIRAPPILLY FALLS-KERALA
Kerala is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in India. Athirappilly Falls is a fantastic tourist attraction in Thrissur district of Kerala. The source of water of the falls is the Chalakudy River. This popular tourist destination has a height of 24 meters. Another beautiful waterfall is located nearby – the Vazhachal Falls.

4 SAVDAV FALLS Savdav WaterFalls: Savdav falls are also located in the state of Maharashtra. These falls should be visited in monsoon only.

5 JOG FALLS-KARNATAKA Jog Falls is one of the most remarkable falls in India. It is the highest plunge waterfall in the country with a height of 253 meters. Jog Falls is untiered; it drops directly and does not stream on to rocks. This waterfall, which is a major tourist attraction, is located in the district of Shimoga of Kamataka state. The falls is also known by a variety of names such as Gerusoppe Falls, Jogada Gundi and Gersoppa Falls.

6 JOG FALLS-KARNATAKA August-December is considered the season of best flow and the best time to visit. Jog is situated 30 kilometres (19 mi) away from Sagara, and 379 kilometres (235 mi) away from Bangalore. One can reach Jog from direct buses to Jog from Bangalor

7 JOG FALLS-KARNATAKA Nearest Bus Stations - Jog, Sagara. Alternative way is to take direct bus to Sagara from Bangalore and local bus from Sagara to Jog. Distance kilometres (63 mi) from Shivamogga and 30 kilometres (19 mi) from Sagara. Also 60 km (approx.) east of Honnavar, NH206 - bus can be taken from Karwar, Honnavar or Shivamogga

8 SATHODI FALLS-KARNATAKA
 Sathodi waterfalls are situated near Kallaramarane Ghat in Uttara Kannada District of Karnataka. Made of small streams, this waterfall is approximately 30 kms from Yellapur and falls from a height of 15 meters. The best time to visit Sathodi Falls is winters. The early morning view of the Sathodi falls is absolutely a delight.

9 COURTALLAMFALLS-Tirunelveli District of Tamil Nadu
The breathtaking waterfall on the photo ABOVE is one of the 5 waterfalls located in Courtallam. This small town is frequented by hundreds of tourists during weekends and season-time. The place is packed with tourist from June to September. The 3 most popular falls in Courtallam which are accessible via roads are the Main Falls, Five Falls, and Old Courtallam Falls. Shenbaga Devi Falls and Honey Falls can be reached only by trekking on the mountain

10 JONHA FALLS-JHARKHAND
The beautiful Jonha Falls is a hanging valley falls in Ranchi district, Jharkhand. It is situated at an edge of the Ranchi Plateau. The waterfall is 43 meters high. Visitors have to descend 500 steps to admire the beauty of the falls and surroundings. It is also called Gautamdhara Falls.

11 HOGENAKKAL FALLS-TAMIL NADU
The Hogenakkal Falls that offers a wonderful panorama is located in Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. The falls, which is also known as Hogenakal Falls, is sometimes referred to as the “Niagara of India” due to its resemblance to the Niagara Falls of North America. This major tourist attraction is also popular for its medicinal baths and boat rides.

12 ABBEY FALLS-KARNATAKA
The astonishing Abbey Falls is located in Kodagu, Kamataka. The waterfall, which is located between private coffee plantations, can be viewed well by tourists through a hanging bridge built just opposite the falls. The name of this falls is also spelled Abbi Falls and Abbe Falls.

13 HEBBE FALLS –KARNATAKA
Hebbe Falls is a beautiful waterfall nestled in the middle of a forest in Kamataka, India. It can be reached by walking or by a four-wheeler. This wonderful waterfall is 168 meters in height. Hebbe Falls gushes down in two stages to form Dodda Hebbe (Big Falls) and Chikka Hebbe (Small Falls).

14 NOHKALIKAI FALLS-CHERRAPUNJI
Another tall waterfall in India is Nohkalikai Falls. It is 335 meters in height and is located near one of the wettest place on the planet – Cherrapunji. One unusual feature of this waterfall is its plunge pool – it has green colored water.

15 RAT TAIL FALLS-TAMIL NADU
Another tall waterfall in India is Thalaiyar Falls. The fall is also known as Rat Tail Falls. This waterfall with a height of 297 meters and offers a panoramic view is located in the Palani Hill of Dindigul District in Tamil Nadu. Rat Tail Falls can be viewed 3.6 km away from the west.

16 SHIVANASAMUDRA FALLS-KARNATAKA
Situated on the river Cauvery, Shivasamudra is the series of twin waterfalls famous as the hosting site of Asia’s second Hydro-electric power station. It was the power station which electrified Kolar Gold fields and made it the second town of Asia after Tokyo. Shivanasamudra waterfalls are considered as the second largest waterfalls of the country.

17 AMBOLI FALLS-MAHARASHTRA
Amboli is a hill station near Sawantwadi . It is quite but pleasant hill resort. It is 690 mtrs above sea level. The area is surrounded with dense forest and sea view point offers you panoramic view of a good part of konkan coast. It is 26 k.m far from Sawantwadi and 539 k.m  from Mumbai. There is a big Marvelous Water-fall (30 Mtrs Hight) 1.5 K.m. away from Amboli. Most of the young lot take bathe under pouring water. In summer, weather condition is pleasant and cool. 

18 KILIYUR FALLS-TAMIL NADU
Kiliyur waterfalls is a waterfall in the servarayan hill range in the eastern ghats,Tamil Nadu. It is 3 km from the Yercaud lake. The best time to visit this place is immediately after the monsoons. The surplus water from the yercaud lake and the other sources in the Shevaroys hills fall 300 feet into the Kiliyur valley. Kiliyur Falls Kaliyur Falls are nestled in the Servarayan hill range of the Eastern Ghats in Tamil Nadu. Here you will get breathtaking views of waters falling from a height of 300 feet. In this wooded oasis the views of the lake,the falls and the valley are truly stupendous.

19 PANASAM FALLS – TAMIL NADU
The Papanasam waterfall is considered sacred and it is believed that a bathe in the same washes away all the sins. This waterfall is formed when river Tamravarni (Western Ghats) reach the plains at Papanasam Papanasam is 45 kms west of Tirunelveli, 180 Kms. south from Madurai, 100 Kms. north from Kanniyakumari and 140 Kms. northeast from Thiruvananthapuram

21 BANATHEERTHAM FALLS- TAMIL NADU
These waterfalls are also located in Tamil Nadu. Banatheertham falls have been used for many film shoots, one of them being for the film ‘Roja’. It is a popular tourist destination in Tamil Nadu.
