1. 1 Media-X eWalk Walkthrough Install Training Office of Institutional Education Programs

2. Step #1 2 Make sure that you have your laptop/computer all set up and connected to the Internet Make sure that you have your Handheld docked in its cradle, the power cord is plugged in and the USB cord is connected to your laptop/computer

3. Step #2 3 Go to the following site https://mxweb.media-x.com/home/westvirginia/

4. Step #3 4 After you have logged in with your username and password your computer screen should resemble what is pictured. Now, click on the eWalk icon

5. Step #4 5 Now that you have clicked on the eWalk icon your computer screen should look like the following: Select from the listing Handheld/Desktop Now select Manage Files

6. Step #5 6 Now you should see your school or schools. 1.This template needs to be checked 2.All schools need to be checked 3.Click on the generate files button if you have 1 and 2 completed Note: This process must be done each time there is a staff change in order for you to see the new staff.

7. Step #6 7 Leave your laptop/computer sit for just a second, we are now going to prepare your handheld for download. Remove your handheld from the cradle - we are going to configure it now. Select the Microsoft window in the upper left hand corner to get to all files From the dropdown menu, select eWalk. It will be a tiny icon that looks like this When eWalk opens you will have 4 choices, select from the listing Upload/Download

8. Step #7 8 At the bottom right of the Handheld is a button that says Now your screen should look like this…check to make sure the data is correct Use HTTPS for secure data transfer IP Host = mxweb.media-x.com System ID = 99 User Name = Your Username Password = 123456 Proxy Server used Setup Click Setup Record After you have the information entered and double checked to make sure it is correct, click the RECORD button. Your password will turn into XXXXX Return Now click RETURN

9. Step #8 9 Now that you clicked return you are back to the eWalk main menu. It looks like this New Walkthrough Review Walkthroughs Upload/Download Quit Click the Upload/Download button

10. Step #9 10 From this listing make sure that you have a check mark in the box beside the following: Download Subjects (Staff, Students, etc.) Place your handheld back in the cradle!

11. Step #10 11 With your handheld back in the cradle (docking station) click on: Download Subjects (Staff, Students, etc.) Download DONE Status: Your status bar will begin to connect to the online location and download the files that you generated previously. Allow it to continue until you see the word DONE.

12. Step #11 12 When you get the DONE indication in the status bar, click on Return. You are now ready to do a New Walkthrough. New Walkthrough Review Walkthroughs Upload/Download Quit Click the New Walkthrough tab

13. Step #12 13 #1. Select the template category. All #2. Select template - click on the small down arrow and you should see OIEP Walk-through Template #1 After you have selected the template, Media-X will prompt you to select your school. Select one of your schools and make sure that ALL of your teachers at that school are listed. (if not, email gwingrov@access.k12.wv.us) Complete your classroom walk-throughs

14. Step #13 14 After you complete your classroom walk-through, you will now need to upload them to the online site. New Walkthrough Review Walkthroughs Upload/Download Quit Click the Upload/Download button

15. Step #14 15 From this listing make sure that you have a check mark in the box beside the following: Delete all Walkthroughs after Upload Place your handheld back in the cradle!

16. Step #15 16 With your handheld back in the cradle (docking station) click on: Delete all Walkthroughs after Upload Upload DONE Status: Your status bar will begin to connect to the online location and upload the walk- throughs. Allow it to continue until you see the word DONE.
