2 CAF Having that mandate the objectives of the PT Presidency are:
Resolution of Directors General - Berlin, July: “The Directors General ask the Working Group to further develop CAF activities for 2007 and 2008 in order to bring the number of CAF users to 2010 by the year They welcome the forthcoming CAF Event scheduled to take place in Lisbon on October.” Having that mandate the objectives of the PT Presidency are: To support the promotion of CAF utilization to reach the goal of having 2010 CAF registered users by 2010; To host the 3rd CAF Users Event (11/12October, Lisbon). Report on activities by CAF Resources Center at EIPA and preparing the forthcoming events; To deliver Inputs from the IPSG members to the CAF expert meeting that will take place in Brussels on the 6th of September.

3 Information: In October there are registered 1096 cases in the European CAF database at EIPA. The 3rd CAF users Event was organized and took place in Lisbon on 11/12 October, with 300 participants from 25 countries, European institutions, EIPA and EFQM. The evaluation is ongoing and will be present in the next IPSG meeting. The CAF RC made a report about the activities on the IPSG and its was decided that this reports will be presented only in one meeting. The sub-group CAF had a meeting in Brussels, on 6th of September.

8 CAF Video Purpose: to dispose of an attractive tool to promote CAF i.e. to sensibilize non CAF users to start the quality approach with CAF by showing them the effectiveness of CAF in improving public sector organisations. The video show the European dimension of CAF. Content: ½ hour movie, showing the self-assessment process and the subsequent improvement actions (how does it work, main steps) through testimonies of CAF users, and the outcome/ results (including testimonies of both CAF users and customers) i.e. mainly through interviews with the persons concerned. Experiences of 6 countries: PT/DE/DK/IT/BE/CZ which illustrate 6 steps out of the 10 steps of the CAF 2006 guidelines
