INTRODUCTION HOW DOES A CONTAINER BECOME HOUSE? DESIGN EXAMPLES A NEW HOME IN 12 STEPS TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
It is based on a principle that the units are similar to shipping containers.
The container sizes are defined in ISO Standards: 2.4 m wide 2.6 m high 6 or 12 m long
Container Becomes House… The pipes for ventilation, sewage, water and heating/cooling and the wiring for power and data all come together. Overall internal insulation (heat / cold, noise, fire resistance). Sustainable use of materials.
Container Becomes House… Large windows for sufficient daylight and view. single unit (2,4 m wide) or a combination of 2 units (4,8 m wide). They costs between 250-500 per m 2
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Complete steel independent construction with open front and rear sides, with PVC window frames. Walls, ceiling and floor fully insulated (box-in- box) Stacking capability: 7 levels without additional construction
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Outside wall is steel or finished with panels of customers choice Internal height 78 (standard) or 87 (high cube) Internal width 78 (single) or 17 (double unit)
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Floor layout is 27 sqm of living space, including bathroom and kitchen (professor model) Walls and ceiling finished with plasterboard and xps insulation (Rc 1,3, coated, fire proof 30m)
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Floor is floating sound proof construction, finished with wooden top layer (carpet optional) Floor to ceiling PVC window frames with doors at both sides, with insulated safety glass
