1 Building Methods 2 Research & Evaluate

2 Assessment 2 Part A (p.15) RESEARCH MATERIALS AND METHODS FOR STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS AND RECORD FINDINGS FOR A WIDE SPAN BUILDING Task 2 – Individual Research Characteristics and applications of materials used for structural elements are researched and evaluated. Each student is required to: Research a different Suspended Floor system for the Office component of a Wide Span building. NOTE: Past, current or emerging construction materials can be selected Task 3 – Group Research The group is then required to select one of the Suspended Flooring systems to research. The groups research should convey general information and technical information regarding properties, construction method, handling and cost effectiveness of the chosen system. Research by manufacturers/ suppliers Catalogues or Internet sites (p.16)
