1 (A) Conjunctivitis due to Chlamydia trachomatis is the most common infectious cause of ophthalmia neonatorum. This 10-day-old neonate presented with lid swelling with erythema and mild mucopurulent eye discharge. (B) Intense hyperemia of the palpebral conjunctiva is seen.
