4 Why should your child attend?
A brilliant way for each child to learn new personal and social skills. Children try new things and find new interests that they might not at school or at other clubs. A fantastic way to make memories that will last. Children become more confident.

6 Daily Routine Day 1 – leave school by 8.30am
arrival, tour of site, unpack, fire drill. Three hot meals a day. 5 group activities each day. The 6th activity is as a half or whole year group. Children will get a copy of their timetable before the week. Children will also be told their day groups and leader before. Children are told their dorms on arrival. Day 5 – Leave after lunch, at school around 4/4.30pm

7 Day Groups A few weeks before we leave, the WJS staff members choose day groups and group leaders. We mix all three classes. There are about 15 children in each group.

8 Dorms A couple of weeks before we leave, we ask children to write down a few children they would like to share a dorm with. Taking this into consideration and the dorm sizes, dorms will be organised. Girls and boys are in separate wings or buildings. Number of children in each dorm will vary. Usually between 4 and 12. Some dorms are en-suite; some dorms have a toilet, shower block or bathroom nearby.

9 Safety At least 7 WJS staff members.
Each group is lead by a WJS staff member. All activities have been risk assessed. All activities are led by at least one Kingswood trained staff with WJS staff member present. At the start of every activity, there is a health and safety talk. All the instructors hold nationally recognised qualifications and the children will be provided with the necessary protective clothing for all activities.

10 Safety The entire site is protected by security fencing and entry is restricted by security gates. All adults on centre wear high-visibility identification badges. Staff are trained to challenge anyone who is not in possession of a security pass. Staff rooms are interspersed between the children’s rooms and there are experienced medical staff on site 24 hours a day. First aid trained staff members and medical room. All incidents are reported and seen by WJS staff member. We send out medical forms before we go and have all information given when we are there. If there was a problem, a WJS staff member would get in touch with the school or staff member who would take further action. There will be an emergency number should you need to contact us. Texts will sent on arrival and departure. The website is updated daily.
