Note the decreased erythrocyte density and the mild anisocytosis and moderate poikilocytosis. A Burr cell (A) is sometimes seen in patients with severe renal disease. Bur cells are elongate or oval- shaped erythrocytes with multiple, uniform, short blunt projections evenly distributed on the cell surface. Two blister cells (B) and a schistocyte (C) were also present.
