7 G 8-10 Honour Roll Honour Roll will be calculated based on student’s 7 best courses with final International Baccalaureate (IB) grades or final letter grades/percentage marks using the final report card. Honour Roll is calculated by averaging final IB grades (1-7) in IB Courses and/or final percentage marks in non-IB courses A calculated average of an IB final grade of 5 or higher and an average of 77.5% - 86.4% for non-IB courses will be recognized as Honours. A calculated average of an IB final grade of 6 or higher and an average of 86.5% - 100% for non-IB courses will be recognized as Honours with Distinction.

8 Students must not have a failing grade. Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills are important. Students who receive an “N” (Novice) for any one of their ATL marks on the final term’s report card are not eligible for the Honour Roll. Students must successfully complete Career Education 8 and 9 and Personal Project 10. However, those marks are not included in the calculations.

9 Students must complete the community service requirements for the year. Those students who receive an “I” on their final report card will have their Honour Roll status calculated upon conversion of the “I”. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of eight courses at Rockridge Secondary School or in the West Vancouver School District

10 Curriculum Update September 2016 - Full transition to the new K-9 curriculum September 2017 – G 10-12 Drafts are ready for review and feedback on the Ministry site. Optional use in classrooms in September 2016.

11 Assessment Update Up to and including June 2017 Grade 10/11 exams will only be available to students who are rewriting a Grade 10/11 exam previously attempted Grade 12 English and Communications examinations will continue to be written by all students taking these courses.

12 As of the 2017/18 school year All students who have not written one of the previous Math 10 exams will write the new Math Skills assessment. Students who have not written one of the Grade 12 English or Communications exams will write the new Literacy assessment.

13 Grade 10-12 Grad Requirements Update 2016 – 2017 Requirements remain the same 2017-2018 Planning 10 and Grad Trans replaced with Career Education
