2 Goal: Advance maturity of Agile adoption and use within HUIT Key areas to improve: – Enhance how users and value are represented in every aspect of work – Strengthen team planning and increase visibility of work and progress – Align teams based on ability to deliver Services – Invest time to improve team processes and clarify roles and responsibilities Approach – Training: Increase % of HUIT that has completed Agile training, especially Managers Offer courses for Agile level 2 in IT Academy – Service Area Engagement - Coaching Agile Goal FY17 2

3 Agile Engagement Activities FY17 3 Engagement Model ActivitiesLeadership Support Needed Q1Create Agile Foundations class and establish Agile CoP with agile events Provide Agile Health Indicator for teams and identify initial areas for improvement Encourage staff and managers to participate in events and attend classes Q2Start engaging Service Areas with Agile Health Indicator and coaching Define ITA agile level 2 and bridges across ITA classes related to agile Update PMO website to support agile better Baseline list of teams, roles, and gaps Prioritize agile teams to engage Support improvement experiments Review metrics about agile improvements with teams Q3Continue engagement with Service Areas and agile teams through coaching Draft HUIT agile roadmap Consider resulting continuous improvement opportunities Q4Define FY18 agile goals Baseline Agile Health Indicator with remaining teams Run retrospective on FY17 - Agile Engagement Define agile goals for Service Areas and HUIT for FY18

4 Agile Service Area Engagement 4 Agile coaches meet with Service Area managers to identify Agile teams Agile coach and team complete Agile Health Indicator Team tries improvement experiments with coach (3 sprints)* Team completes Agile Health Indicator – continuous improvement Track metrics and identify common themes across and between Service Areas * If Service Area Manager and team feel a more extensive coaching engagement is needed coach will extend engagement as capacity allows.
