4 Schneider Electric 4 - Division - Nom – Date SCHNEIDER Universal Enclosures paint finish ●Standard coating ●Method : Static electricity Powder paint ●Element: Hybrid composed with Polyester resin 70% ( UV ) and Epoxy resin 30% ( corrosion, chemicals) ●Colour : RAL7035 half shine ●Thickness : 50 ~ 70μm (average 60μm) ●Structure : Texture finish ●Special coating ●Element : ( ex. Polyester 100% etc. ) ●Colour : (Other RAL color, Munsell 5Y7/1 etc. ) ●Thickness ( Without paint, double coating etc. )

5 Schneider Electric 5 - Division - Nom – Date Why use epoxy-polyester hybrid powder coating ? epoxy is an excellent coating to control corrosion. ●Epoxy-based paints can adhere very well to a metallic surface if that surface is prepared correctly. Because of its bond to a metallic substrate and the internal bonds in the paint itself, epoxy is an excellent coating to control corrosion. ●However, epoxy paint systems have a major problem dealing with ultraviolet light - the material decomposes, causing what is known as chalking. ●Polyester paints, gives durability of appearance and mechanical strength to provide an excellent coating. ●SCHNEIDER Universal Enclosures uses a hybrid powder coating to provide the best quality.

8 Schneider Electric 8 - Division - Nom – Date Overview Wash, Rinsing Phosphate Coating Line Powder Painting Baking ●We offer a number of standard colours including RAL 7035 and RAL 7032. The ultra durable powder paint is applied to a multi-staged washing, rinsing and phosphating undercoating. ●Our standard finishes can be re-painted.

Chromate neutralization : mix of steel + chromate, offer a greater resistance to corrosion 45sec. Final rinsing out : with mineral free water

The powder is charged at a reverse polarity from the one of the items being painted, powder then adheres on the items. All the part are also manually painted wherever exists a risk of insufficient coating( principally in the corners). =S= UE painting process (3) Powder painting process
