6 Introduction Sickle cell is an inherited red blood cell problem, affecting the chemical hemoglobin inside the cell. Problems include anemia, increased infections, blocked blood flow and pain episodes. This teaching program will teach the user about normal blood, sickle cell blood, the genetics, the complications, treatments, and prevention of problems. The future of research will also be presented
